# How to Accept and Assign Shipment Requests on TruckYou

> Browse incoming freight requests from shippers, review route and cargo details, accept a shipment, and assign a truck and driver to fulfil it.

When a shipper posts a shipment request on TruckYou, it becomes visible to verified truckers whose fleet is a match. You review the details, accept the shipment, and assign a truck and driver — all from the Trucker App.

## Accept a shipment

  <Step title="Open the Trucker App">
    Log in to the TruckYou Trucker App using your registered mobile number and the OTP sent to your phone.

  <Step title="Browse available shipment requests">
    On the home screen, tap **Available Shipments** to see all open requests from shippers in your network.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review shipment details">
    Tap a shipment to view the full details: origin, destination, cargo type, weight, and expected pickup date. Confirm you have the right vehicle and driver available before proceeding.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Accept the shipment">
    Tap **Accept Shipment**. The request is removed from the available pool and assigned to your account.

  <Step title="Assign a truck">
    Select one of your registered trucks that is available and suitable for the shipment's requirements.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign a driver">
    Choose a driver from your fleet to handle the pickup and delivery. The driver receives a notification in their app with the shipment details.

  <Step title="Monitor progress">
    Track the shipment through each stage — **Pickup**, **In Transit**, and **Delivered** — from the **Active Shipments** dashboard.

  Once you accept a shipment, the shipper is notified immediately. They can see your assigned truck details and track delivery progress in real time.

  Review the origin, destination, and cargo weight carefully before accepting. Once accepted, the shipment is assigned to you and the shipper is notified — cancellations can affect your reliability rating on the platform.

## After acceptance

Once you accept a shipment and assign a truck and driver:

* **The driver is notified** with pickup location, cargo details, and delivery address.
* **Live tracking begins** — the shipper can follow the shipment from pickup to delivery.
* **Proof of Pickup (POP)** is submitted by the driver when goods are collected.
* **Proof of Delivery (POD)** is submitted by the driver when goods are delivered.
* **Payment is triggered** once the POD is confirmed and the shipment is marked complete.
