Creating a shipment in the TruckYou Shipper App takes a few minutes. You enter the pickup and delivery addresses, describe your goods, specify the weight, and pay — all from your phone. Once confirmed, a driver is assigned and you can track the shipment in real time.

Steps to create a shipment

Open the app and log in

Launch the TruckYou Shipper App on your device. Enter your mobile number and tap Send OTP. Enter the one-time password you receive via SMS to sign in.

Tap 'Create Shipment'

On the home screen, tap the Create Shipment button to start a new booking.

Enter the pickup address

Search for the pickup location using the Google Maps integration, or tap Use my location to auto-detect your current position. Confirm the address before proceeding.

Enter the delivery address

Search for the destination address using Google Maps. Confirm the address before proceeding.

Describe your shipment and enter the weight

Provide a brief description of the goods (for example, “electronic components” or “packaged garments”) and enter the total weight of your shipment in kilograms.

Review the pricing

The app calculates the fare based on weight, distance, and service type. Review the price breakdown before confirming.

Confirm and pay

Tap Confirm Shipment to proceed to payment. Complete the payment via Razorpay. Once payment is successful, your shipment is booked and a driver will be assigned.

A brief description of the goods being shipped (for example, “textile rolls” or “auto spare parts”). Accurate descriptions help TruckYou assign the right vehicle and comply with transport regulations.

The total weight of your shipment in kilograms. Pricing is calculated partly based on this value. Providing an inaccurate weight may result in extra charges.

Prohibited items

Do not ship illegal goods, hazardous materials, explosives, or any items restricted or controlled by government regulations. Shipments found to contain prohibited items will be cancelled and may be reported to the relevant authorities. You are responsible for ensuring your goods comply with all applicable laws.

Accuracy matters

Providing incorrect shipment details — including addresses, descriptions, or weight — may result in delivery delays or additional charges. Double-check all fields before confirming your shipment.
