Once your shipment is booked and a driver is assigned, you can follow its progress in real time through the TruckYou Shipper App. Live tracking uses the driver’s GPS location, updated continuously, so you always know where your goods are.

How live tracking works

TruckYou uses GPS data from the driver’s device to show the shipment’s current location on a map. The app refreshes the driver’s position continuously while the shipment is active. You can open the tracking view at any time after pickup to see:
  • The driver’s live location on a map
  • The estimated time to destination
  • The current stage of your shipment
You do not need to keep the app open — you will receive push notifications at each stage of the journey.

Delivery stages

Your shipment moves through three main stages:
StageWhat it means
PickupThe driver has collected your goods from the pickup address. A Proof of Pickup (POP) is recorded.
In transitYour shipment is on its way to the delivery address. Live GPS tracking is active.
DeliveredYour goods have been delivered. A Proof of Delivery (POD) is recorded and available in the app.

Proof of pickup and proof of delivery

Proof of Pickup (POP)

When the driver collects your goods, they capture a Proof of Pickup. This may include a photo, signature, or other verification. You can view the POP in the app under your shipment details once it is available.

Proof of Delivery (POD)

When your goods are delivered, the driver captures a Proof of Delivery. Like the POP, this is stored by TruckYou for verification and can be accessed from your shipment details screen. Both POP and POD are stored by TruckYou and serve as official records of collection and delivery.

Enable notifications for live updates

Allow push notifications for the TruckYou Shipper App so you receive automatic updates when your shipment is picked up, in transit, and delivered. Go to your device’s notification settings to enable them if you have not already.

If tracking appears stuck

If the tracking map has not updated for an extended period, try the following:
  1. Pull down on the tracking screen to refresh the view.
  2. Check your internet connection.
  3. If the issue persists, contact TruckYou support through the app. The driver may be in an area with limited connectivity, which can cause temporary gaps in location updates.
